Parking Inventory and Demand Studies for Government Hospital Road

Government Hospital Road in Coimbatore was suffering with low traffic movement due to the long term and haphazard parking of two wheelers across the frontage of Government Hospital.  Due to the lack of a parking management system in the study area, the parking demand for long term vehicles was exceptional.

In order to address this parking issue, the study involves the parking inventory and demand studies covering two weekends and two weekdays on-street parking surveys for a stretch of 350 m. Based on the parking demand result an off-street parking facility was proposed and designed to accommodate long term parking demand of two wheelers.
