River Training Works

Due to high turbulence at the confluence of rivers Tlawng and Teirei at Bairabi, every year during monsoon the water level rises and expands unpredictably. This results in damages to villages habitat, low-land agricultural activities and movement of essential supplies within the state. Hence the main objective of the project is to protect the bank of river Tlawng on Mizoram side with appropriate river training works.
